Lee Brice Nominated for CMA New Artist of the Year; "I Drive Your Truck" Earns Song of the Year Nod

Lee Brice has been nominated for New Artist of the Year at the 2013 Country Music Association Awards. With his latest album, Hard 2 Love, Lee has scored three Billboard Country #1 smashes, including "I Drive Your Truck," which also earned its songwriters Jessi Alexander, Connie Harrington & Jimmy Yeary a nomination for Song of the Year.

Lee's recording of "I Drive Your Truck," was certified gold and featured on NPR's All Things Considered. Harrington says of Lee, "When Jessi, Jimmy and I wrote 'I Drive Your Truck,' we all had dreams of it being recorded by just the right person, just the right voice, just the right performance. Lee Brice more than made those dreams a reality."

After spending the summer on tour with Brad Paisley, Lee will launch his own headlining 'The Otherside Tour' this October, co-presented by House of Blues. Lee's latest single, "Parking Lot Party," is currently in the Top 10 on the Mediabase and Billboard Country charts, and he will perform on CMA's 'Songwriter Series' in Austin, TX tonight, Sept. 11.

The 47th Annual Country Music Association Awards will be held Nov. 6 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville,TN and will be broadcast live on ABC.
