Friday, October 4 - Today, Liz Gillies (Dynasty, Victorious) and singer-songwriter Ferry Townes (Julia Gargano) release new collaborative single “What You’ve Done” via Licorice Pizza Records. With a soft twang, and an ear-catching chorus, Liz Gillies and Ferry Townes bear themselves simply and poignantly in their reflective and thoughtful track. The duet showcase their airy buoyant vocals, generating an irresistibly captivating tune. This collaboration is the first of more to come from the folksy duo. Watch Liz and Ferry Townes on ABC News Live here.
Liz shared "Julia and I met a few years ago through a mutual friend and we’ve been collaborating ever since. She’s such a tremendous talent and writing with her has felt organic from the start. We share so many of the same references and love so many of the same artists- it just made sense from the very beginning. I’m so excited for everyone to hear our first song."
When asked about the inspiration for the song, Julia says “We are both singing this song about our own situations. It’s my favorite part about it being sung in two part harmony. It feels like two friends venting with one another. And I adore how our voices sound together, that was such a bonus!”

ABOUT FERRY TOWNES Hailing from the streets of Staten Island, Ferry Townes emerges as a poignant voice in the indie music scene, channeling the raw, unfiltered emotions of its frontwoman, songwriter, Julia Gargano. The name Ferry Townes is an homage to The Staten Island Ferry, a symbol of Julia’s upbringing commuting to Manhattan for school, family days, dates, and watching the Statue of Liberty. Having had her public debut on American Idol Season 18 and finishing in the top 7, Gargano’s debut collection is an eclectic blend of acoustic and electronic elements, reminiscent of bands like HAIM and boygenius, yet with a distinct melodic narrative and alternative pop flair. Ferry Townes is a vivid musical exploration of feminine identity and growing pains, sprinkled with anxious flashes and flirty obsessions.
