Heartland troubadour Logan Mize shares his new song with emerging country artist Grace Leer called “Nothing With You,” out today (4.8) via Big Yellow Dog Music.
Penned by JUNO-winning artist Donovan Woods, Dustin Christensen (Brothers Osborne), and GRAMMY-nominated songwriter Geoff Warburton, “Nothing With You” is a heartbreak duet that features stunning harmonies and reflects on the seemingly mundane moments we often miss more than the big relationship moments after a breakup. “I thought 'Grew Apart' needed a part two, or as Donovan Woods calls it: 'grew together,'" says Mize. "Having Grace on 'Nothing With You' gave it the mojo it needed! I think yer gonna dig it.”
“Nothing With You” follows Mize’s recently released concept album ‘Welcome to Prairieville,’ a heartfelt journey through a fictional small town that was inspired by Mize’s own Kansas upbringing. Throughout the 11 tracks, Mize and co-writer Blake Chaffin encapsulate rural small-town life with vivid imagery and the “masterful art of storytelling” (Sounds Like Nashville) on an album that was over a decade in the making.
Leer’s career launched with her appearance on Season 18 of American Idol, where she received high praise from Katy Perry that took her from the Nashville bar scene to national recognition. Leer released her first single in February 2022 and was picked to support Mize, whom she has been a longtime fan of, on his It’s About Time tour.
Mize is set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut, a longtime bucket list item, on 4.29. For more information and updates, visit loganmize.com.
