Coming off the heels of his Kansas-inspired musical scrapbook with ‘Bloodline’ (5.5), country-rocker Logan Mize shares "Her Heartland," a song that reminds us of a love that feels like home, out today (6.16) via Big Yellow Dog Music.

"Her Heartland was actually the first song written for this current project," says Mize. "I went into Dan's (my producer) studio to come up with sounds, and I described to him this baritone sound I had in mind. He dialed that opening sound up pretty quick and started mapping the song while I jotted down lyrics. It came together really quick. I still see it as the lead track on the album."
Co-written by Mize and Daniel Agee (Jessie James Decker, HBO’s Big Little Lies), "Her Heartland" captures the spirit of Mize’s music as an artist who showcases a part of rural life that goes largely unnoticed in country music, while making that rural lifestyle feel relatable to people everywhere. As Mize sings of memories of windmills and dirt roads, the listeners can find reminders of their own homes and loves, whether that be skyscrapers, suburban neighborhoods or mountain ranges.
“Her Heartland” serves as a preview of a full-length record to be announced in the coming months. The new album will spotlight Mize's authentic and relatable songwriting that has garnered praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, CMT and more and earned him a fanbase of 1.4M+ monthly listeners on Spotify.
