Los Straitjackets Join Nick Lowe's Quality Holiday Revue As Backing Band

Nick Lowe is proud to announce Los Straitjackets as the backing band for his first-ever holiday tour supporting his acclaimed album 'Quality Street: A Seasonal Selection for All the Family' (Yep Roc Records). "I got a tantalizing taste when I played with them at the Yep Roc 15 celebration, and now I'm returning for a full meal" says Nick.

The "playful and evocative" (NPR) Los Straitjackets have been performing dynamic instrumental surf and roots music for nearly a quarter of a century, all while donning their signature Mexican wrestling masks. They're also no strangers to holiday music, having released ''Tis the Season for Los Straitjackets' in 2002, and 'Yuletide Beat' in 2009.

Released in 2013, 'Quality Street' was the most acclaimed holiday album of the year. Dubbed a "sleigh bell-free zone" by Lowe, the album was hailed as "characteristically great" (New York Magazine) and "unimpeachably tasteful" (Washington Post).

Ian McLagan will support on all dates. He released 'United States,' his Yep Roc debut, earlier this year. USA Today called it "soulful and unbridled."
