Toronto’s Rising Star Lou Val Releases Dual Tracks: “Cruel Silence” & “Eternal Sunshine”

Today, Toronto R&B singer Lou Val releases his newest solo venture via SoulectionRecords in the form of two new singles: “Cruel Silence” and “Eternal Sunshine.” Antithetical in sound, message and imagery, the opposing tracks exhibit a captivating palette from the singer/songwriter and recent college graduate.
On the hazy, guitar-driven “Cruel Silence,” Lou reflects on the uncertainties of life and romance, offering his perspective on finding comfort in accepting the unknown. While “Cruel Silence” is more pragmatic, “Eternal Sunshine” is driven by emotion. “If I were to lose you… / Just dispose whatever's left of my soul / Cause I won't need it anymore,” Lou sings—all previous doubts eclipsed by the intensity of his love. Buoyant production by Maneesh (five-time platinum producer for Drake, Mark Ronson, Giveon), allows the song to float along in a dreamlike state.
