LA-based lifestyle expert and the “queen of hacks” (TODAY) LORAfied will release her debut cookbook The LORAfied Cookbook: Easy Recipes and Budget-Friendly Hacks For Feeding the Whole Family! on May 5, 2026 via DK.

LORAfied — the Emmy-winning journalist and mom-of-three Lora McLaughlin Peterson— has captivated more than 2 million fans across social media by redefining what it means to live smarter, not harder. From genius shopping hacks to simple, low-ingredient recipes, Lora has become a trusted voice for anyone seeking affordable, stress-free ways to make everyday life a little easier (and a lot tastier).

"Creating this cookbook is one of the greatest honors of my life. I feel so blessed to share my story through food because food is love and cooking for someone is one of the truest signs of it,” says Lora. “After nearly two years of keeping this project a secret, I’m thrilled to finally share it. My hope is to inspire people to eat at home more. Whether you’re cooking from scratch, going half-homemade, or re-plating takeout, there’s something special about sitting down together. You don’t have to have any cooking skills to make these recipes. You’ll recognize every ingredient, be able to afford them and find them all at your local grocery store in one trip. Whether you’ve been cooking your whole life or don’t know where to start, this cookbook is for you!”

Cooking trends may come and go, but the appeal of recipes promising a quicker, easier route to dinnertime never grows old. Having fed her family balanced meals daily for over thirty years, Lora knows all too well how even a “30-minute one-pan wonder” can still leave you exhausted by hidden tasks like chopping, rummaging through cabinets, or cleaning up afterward.

In The LORAfied Cookbook, she shares 100 “fancy yet frugal” recipes and household hacks designed to make not just mealtime—but everyday life—a breeze. Inside, readers will find everything from Lemon Chia Pudding and Crunchy Garlic Butter Chicken Cutlets to Waldorf-Inspired Chicken Salad and Potato Chip Cookies, along with practical tips for shopping smarter, saving time, and making the most of what’s already in your kitchen.

Whether you’re cooking for a crowd or just trying to get dinner on the table after a long day, this no-fuss, no-experience-necessary guide proves that if you’ve got salt and pepper, you’ve got everything you need to whip up food that wows—without draining your wallet or your energy. The pages are filled with new LORAfied secrets as well as fan-favorite viral hits, including her viral mashed potato hack with 17M+ views and ice cream french toast made with only two ingredients.

With its mix of low-hassle recipes, clever household hacks, and approachable lifestyle tips, The LORAfied Cookbook makes life easier, brighter, and more delicious—all without breaking the bank. Lora’s expertise has been featured on TODAY, Live with Kelly & Mark, The Drew Barrymore Show, SHERRI, Martha Stewart Living, Woman’s World, Parade, and more—cementing her place as one of the most relatable, resourceful voices in home cooking today.
