Americana indie-rock duo Marfa is set to release its debut EP, We’ll All Be Okay, on October 23 via Big Machine Records / ASCEND Music. Across six tracks, with four additional tracks exclusively released on the vinyl edition, We’ll All Be Okay is a coming-of-age portrait of early adulthood: budding romance, toxic relationships you can't quite quit, the disorientation of watching your life change shape, and the scrappy hustle of chasing a dream while trying to make rent.
“This project was born during the most inspired time of our lives,” says Marfa. “We pulled from every avenue of our artistry to get these songs. The opening track ‘Freak Show’ was directed towards the move from Denver to Nashville and it makes us cry when we listen back to it. There’s so much depth in these lyrics front to back that will forever live somewhere in our souls. We recorded this EP in the span of 5 days in a small studio in Los Angeles alongside Ryan Marrone. Hiring little to no outside musicians, these songs were created in our brains, and recorded with our hands and hearts.”

Penned or co-penned entirely by Marfa members Bryce Menchaca and Kellen Wall, We’ll All Be Okay journeys through the emotional terrain of life in your 20s, set to the duo’s warm, hazy sepia-toned sound that blends Laurel Canyon dreamscapes with relentless modern rock.
"My Love (Never Lets Me Down)" is a broke-boy’s hopeful ode to love and music’s ability to sustain through hard times, while "Waco" captures the rush of a new romance turning into something you can't let go of. "Remedy" wrestles with the push and pull of a relationship that's as intoxicating as it is doomed, while "Cross My Mind" lingers in a fading love and mourns what it used to be, and "Blonde Problems" turns breakup tension into something cheeky and self-aware. With the We'll All Be Okay (Collector's Edition) - Vinyl EP listeners can enjoy Marfa’s previously released “Daisy,” “Run For My Money,” “American Lonely,” and “Last Time Last,” which have become fan favorites at the duo’s live shows.
Out today (9.18), the EP’s “Freak Show” perfectly encapsulates the growing pains of young adulthood and the heartache of moving away and moving on from the friendships that shaped you, leaning on a simple mantra – “breathe in and breathe out” – to find steadiness through life’s constant changes.

The comedic official music video for the new track rolls out the next twisted chapter in a saga about a mysterious drug ring distributing a pill called “Lost Cause” — first introduced in the video for “Remedy” (8.20) — as Menchaca and Wall take on the role of hosts of a 70s-style variety show called “The Freak Show.” In the video, the pair begrudgingly judge some unhinged talent auditions before popping the “lost cause” pill and dissolving into laughter.
