Today (10.20), 18x CMA Ontario winner + back-to-back CCMA Female Artist Of The Year Meghan Patrick releases “God and a Good Man,” available now via Riser House Records. Written by Patrick alongside Trannie Anderson and Dallas Wilson, the vulnerable track finds Patrick looking back at the woman she was before finding the two things in her life that now mean the most to her – God and a good man.

Arriving just days before she celebrates her first anniversary with fellow country artist Mitchell Tenpenny, the track also features audio from another special day in her life, June 13, 2023 – the day Patrick was baptized.
“On the day I decided I was ready to be baptized, I spent a lot of time thinking about the journey it took to get there. I was feeling incredibly blessed with where I was at in life, with a beautiful and happy marriage, and a strong faith in God and His plans for me,” Patrick explains. “I also thought about how they were similar, and how both of those relationships grew in the same way. There was a time where I didn’t think I was deserving of the kind of love I have now, a time where I might have pushed it away, or not wanted to believe it was real. I know that both my husband and God have healed me, and lifted me up in ways that have changed me for the better, and so I wrote this song to honor what they mean to me.”
“God and a Good Man” follows in the footsteps of Patrick’s deeply-personal tribute to survivors of domestic assault, “The Boy Who Cried Drunk (The Demo),” which she released last month (9.29 via Riser House Records), sharing her own story as a survivor in the process. Fans can hear these songs and more live this fall, as Patrick serves as direct support on select dates during LANCO’s headline ‘Run, Run, Baby Tour,’ which kicked off in Nashville on October 2.
