Today (1.19), 18x CMA Ontario winner + back-to-back CCMA Female Artist Of The Year Meghan Patrick offers her latest single, “Other Side of 25”. Last year Meghan toured with Riser House’s LANCO on their 'Run, Run, Baby Tour,' and made her Grand Ole Opry debut. Now she’s hitting the road to support Ian Munsick on his upcoming tour.
Meghan spoke on the single saying, “The Other Side Of 25 is kind of a love letter to both my younger and older self. I remember dreading turning 25, and then 30, thinking I was getting old, and the fun was over. Now that I’m on the other side of it, I have an appreciation for the mistakes younger me had to make to become who I am now. I have grace and understanding for her, and a lot of love for who she is now. It’s a song for anyone worried about who they think they should be at a certain age, and who they are going to be as they get older… it’s a promise that getting older doesn’t just mean less fun, more responsibility, and a few more lines on your face… it comes with a better sense of self, and as the song says “don’t give a sh*t but I give a damn”… which to me just means caring more about the things that truly matter and less about the things that don’t.”
