LOS ANGELES, CA – Comedy Dynamics will produce 12 live episodes of Backseat Comics, exclusively for Microsoft’s Mixer, a next-generation interactive livestreaming service that gives viewers the ability to watch and engage with their favorite games and streamers in real-time. Backseat Comics is set to showcase a special episode during this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. The expo spans from June 12-14, 2018 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Downtown Los Angeles.
Backseat Comics is a fresh improv comedy gaming show where one player plays the most popular games currently streaming on Mixer while four comics riff on the action, dig on the storylines, and crush on gamers. The interactive series will allow viewers to vote on their favorite comedians and the best players in real-time using Mixer’s unique Faster Than Light streaming technology, as well as comment their thoughts throughout the episode. The series is set to be executive produced by Comedy Dynamics’ Brian Volk-Weiss, Cisco Henson, and AJ Tesler as well as Mixer’s Richard Winn and Edward Capuano. The season is set to span 12 weeks, starting on April 13.
“It’s an absolute honor and joy to be working in the live space with Mixer and I’m sure the world will love what we cook up together!” said Comedy Dynamics CEO Brian Volk-Weiss.
