Montgomery Gentry's Energy Shines On "Headlights"

(Nashville, Tenn.) July 24, 2014 - Country music super duo Montgomery Gentry is set to debut its first new music in nearly three years with the release of "Headlights," the lead single from its forthcoming album on Blaster Records. The Kentucky-raised Grand Ole Opry members, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry, are known for their blue-collar anthems and "heavy Southern rock" sound (Entertainment Weekly). "Headlights" - written by Wendell Mobley, Bob DiPiero and Tony Martin - is a celebration of wild nights brought to life by the duo's contagious energy and passion. The song impacts Country radio August 18 and will be available for purchase via iTunes and all other digital outlets in early September.

Bolstered by a new label partnership with Blaster (also home to Jack Ingram, Aaron Lewis and Chuck Wicks, amongst others), Eddie and Troy continue to play to sold-out crowds while working with producer Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, ABC's Nashville) on their debut album for the fledgling independent label, slated to bow in early 2015.

"We love singing songs that we've lived and this is definitely one of those songs,” says Troy of "Headlights." “Eddie and I are excited about the music we've been recording with Michael Knox and can't wait to get it out to the fans.”

Montgomery Gentry has celebrated multiple awards and nominations from the CMA, ACM, and GRAMMYs. The duo has charted more than 20 singles, with anthems like "My Town" and "Hell Yeah" becoming indelible parts of the honky-tonk landscape. They have reached #1 on the singles charts five times with the hits "If You Ever Stop Loving Me," "Something To Be Proud Of," "Lucky Man," "Back When I Knew It All" and "Roll With Me."

Montgomery Gentry is managed by Dennis Entertainment's John Dennis and booked by WME's Greg Oswald.
