This morning, mtvU premiered The White Buffalo's music video for "Don't You Want It," the first single from the new album, 'Shadows, Greys, and Evil Ways,' out next Tuesday, 9/10, from Unison Music Group. The clip features frontman Jake Smith's roaring radio booth performance, juxtaposed with footage of an Appalachian mountain family dancing, unearthed from David Hoffman's 'Bluegrass Roots' documentary.
The video will be airing every hour today on mtvU, which is available on 750 college campuses, reaching nearly 9 million U.S. college students, seen in the dining areas, fitness centers, student lounges and dorm rooms of campuses throughout the U.S., as well as on cable systems from Charter Communications, Verizon FiOS TV, Suddenlink Communications, AT&T u-Verse and nearly 70 others.
The video has also been premiered on mtvU.com, which you can view here: http://shorefi.re/1dJL69q
To celebrate the new album release, Jake Smith (a.k.a. The White Buffalo) will play a hometown, solo acoustic in-store at LA's Amoeba Records at 6pm Wednesday 9/11, followed by an album signing.
The White Buffalo will be performing at the Americana Music Festival and Conference on 9/21 at the High Watt in Nashville. A US fall tour will kick off on 9/28 at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles.
