Notes Live, Inc. dba Venu Holding Corporation, Sets Stage for Ultra-Lux $93 Million Sunset Amphitheater in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Finalizing Land Purchase

Official Groundbreaking Set for Late Summer 2024

Broken Arrow, OK – Notes Live, Inc. dba Venu Holding Corporation ("Venu"), has closed on the land for the location of its ultra-luxe music amphitheater, The Sunset, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The project represents a combined investment of over $93 million dollars from Venu and The City of Broken Arrow. Venu has also set the official groundbreaking ceremony for the Sunset Amphitheater, which will hold a capacity of 12,500 when it opens, for late this summer.

The Sunset Amphitheater is being developed through a public-private partnership between the City of Broken Arrow and Venu, and will be operated by and booked in partnership with Live Nation. The projects combined slated to open for the 2025 touring season, The Sunset at Broken Arrow will showcase the nation’s top artists and musicians in a scenic setting that juxtaposes superlative ambiance and hospitality with gorgeous views of plains, water, and the clear night sky.

The Sunset Amphitheater’s entertainment complex will be developed near a picturesque fishing pond on a spacious lot immediately north of Broken Arrow Events Park and just east of the Creek Turnpike. Modeled after Venu’s thriving food and music center in Colorado Springs, the project will feature luxury fire pit suites (which are on sale now), traditionally reserved seating (upper and lower bowl), a landscaped grass berm, and custom-built Owners Club suites which are inset within the hydro-chill grass berm.

Named one of the 100 best places to live in the US, and 25 best places to live in the Southwest (Livability.com, 2023), Broken Arrow’s already-vibrant arts, recreation, and tourism scene made it a perfect fit for the Colorado-based Venu Holding Corporation, which aims to construct their amphitheaters in growing suburbs and small cities that have it “all” ... besides grand-scale live music centers. Located just outside of Tulsa, Broken Arrow is home to the award-winning Challenger Sports Complex, The Kristin Chenoweth Theatre at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center (BAPAC) and the revitalized and bustling Rose District. The development will be a substantial addition to the rich live music scene in the Tulsa Market. Which is home to the legendary Bob Dylan Center, historic Cain’s Ballroom, and renowned recording facility The Church Studios.

Chairman and CEO of Venu, JW Roth said previously, “Broken Arrow is exactly the kind of place we like to build - the kind of place that has everything, besides a place for national acts to come play music outdoors.” He added of the land purchase “I’m thrilled that we’re moving forward to the next step with this project, and we’ll see you in 2025!”

Broken Arrow Mayor Debra Wimpee previously said, “We are proud to partner with Venu on this amazing venue that will not only draw first class musical acts to Broken Arrow for citizens and visitors, but also attract future development opportunities, generate jobs, and enhance the tax base which will benefit our city and region.”

Bob Roux, President of Live Nation Concerts, said in January: “Our teams share a mission to elevate hospitality for both artists and fans. We look forward to contributing even more shows to the live music scene in Tulsa.”

The Sunset development will be a pivotal project for the local community (and local music scene), supporting hundreds of jobs and making an annual economic impact of more than $4.3 billion in the first twenty years of operation. The Sunset’s construction is projected to begin later this year, with the aim of unveiling this remarkable outdoor venue just in time for the Summer 2025 touring season.
