At Los Angeles' Palace Theatre on February 18th & 19thNumero Group will celebrate its 20th Anniversary, and "for a certain kind of underground music fan, the Numero Twenty festival is going to be heaven" (Stereogum). Featuring three floors and ten dynamic bands from the record label's 200 Line reissue series of punk, hardcore, and artistic rock, Numero Twenty's lineup has been described as "truly bonkers" (Aquarium Drunkard): UnwoundCodeineThe HatedKarateIda, Ted Leo's early band ChiselEveryone Asked About YouUiRex and Tsunami. All of the groups are performing for one of their first times in years, some of whom have not been seen live on-stage since the late 1990s, and until Numero Group, most of them had no presence on streaming platforms. The milestone event offers "a rare opportunity to see a host of small but mighty artists Numero has helped reintroduce to listeners of late" (SPIN), as the company celebrates two indelible decades of researching and resuscitating unsung heroes and precious lost sounds of music history.

Today, Numero Twenty announces additional programming for attendees to experience throughout the weekend, including a ten-part film fest, details on a massive, public pop-up shop, and an exclusive, limited-edition release.

Beginning at 6pm on both nights of Numero Twenty, the Numero Film Archives will showcase a smorgasbord of music videos, live performances, commercials, car chases, movie trailers, cable access magic, stop motion animation, and other cinematic curios. In between each band's set, twenty-minute blocks of visuals will run on the hour, further immersing the audience in the wide world of Numero.

From 10am-2pm on Sunday, February 19th, more than 5,000 LPs, CDs, 45s and merch items from the vast Numero catalog will fill the Palace Theatre's vestibule for a special pop-up shop open to the general public. The store will also be available for all festival attendees to peruse during each show, including an exclusive tote bag, t-shirt and Numero Twenty Low Noise Cassette Tape that features a secret, surprise tracklist and is limited to 500 copies.

Numero Group kicks off 2023 with its twelfth GRAMMY nomination, as their universally acclaimed Blondie: Against The Odds 1974-1982 box set is up for Best Historical Album. Since launching in Chicago in 2003, the company has survived downloading, the collapse of several distributors, streaming, vinyl and the ever-evolving tastes of the average reissue connoisseur, all while delivering expertly-assembled and lavishly-packaged box sets, playlists and ephemera of historic music from the 1950s to today. Whether it's the eccentric soul records that defined Numero's roots, or obscure gospel, power pop, New York disco, cosmic country, hillbilly hellfire, Franco-Belgian electro-samba, tiki torch exotica, Chicago funk-blues, privately issued folk, regional music of remote island nations, or the punk and hardcore of Numero Twenty, with each release comes a new artifact of sound, image and word, illuminating the often herculean efforts of individuals whose music was met with far too little fanfare in its day.

Growing from its flagship Chicago location to a Los Angeles office in 2018, and a new UK team formed in 2022, Numero Group enters its second decade doing its most adventurous work. With new projects from many of the bands featured on Numero Twenty, plus upcoming box sets from Laraaji and more on a weekly basis, Numero is bringing 2023 its most music and busiest schedule to date.
