NY Times Streams Robert Earl Keen's "Gorgeous" New LP 'Happy Prisoner' (Feb. 10/ Dualtone) Ahead Of Two Headlining NYC Shows & U.S. Tour Including SXSW

New York Times' Press Play is now streaming Robert Earl Keen's new LP 'Happy Prisoner' a week before its Feb. 10 release on Dualtone. The album pays tribute to fifteen Bluegrass standards and other beloved acoustic songs from Keen's earliest musical education with "plenty of fretwork firepower from his longtime backing band and cameos by A-list duet partners like Lyle Lovett, Peter Rowan and Natalie Maines" (Rolling Stone); Country Weekly said it "takes bluegrass music where it's never been before." Touring with the same band that recorded the album, Keen kicks off of a tour in support of 'Happy Prisoner' later this month, with two headlining NYC shows at Bowery Ballroom (2/09) and Music Hall of Williamsburg (2/10) and just-confirmed sets at SXSW (additional details to follow).
