NYC Guthrie tribute enlists Wood Bros w/ Toussaint, Earle, Yamagata

The Wood Brothers, known for their "taut musicianship" (LA Times) and harmonies "only genetics could muster" (Time Out) will take the stage for Woody Guthrie's 100th birthday at WoodyFest on July 12 at NYC's City Winery. The band, whose "stunning... brilliant" (All Music Guide) 'Live, Vol. 1: Sky High' is out now on Southern Ground Artists, will perform alongside Allen Toussaint and Rachel Yamagata at the Steve Earle-hosted tribute as part of their nationwide 2012 tour. Vol. 2 of the live release is due later this summer.
