September 16, 2025 – One Night Live, a collaborative touring initiative created to provide crucial support for emerging artists and small independent venues, returns this fall for its second tour. Headlined by Cleveland-based artist Kid Tigrrr (Jenna Fournier), the 11-date run kicks off November 5 at Pie Shop in Washington, D.C. and travels through November 16 with stops across the Northeast, including New York and Philadelphia. The tour comes in support of Kid Tigrrr’s debut album, Stoned + Animald.

One Night Live: Kid Tigrrr is produced by three organizations committed to strengthening the live music ecosystem. Live Music Society has awarded $4.8 million in grants to 201 venues across the U.S. since 2020, providing critical support to small performance spaces while also investing in research that highlights the challenges they face. D-TOUR, a network of independent venues and promoters, focuses on routing tours for emerging artists and creating opportunities at locally owned venues. Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present & Future helps Northeast Ohio artists expand beyond their hometown by offering incubation and development programs.

The One Night Live initiative was created in response to ongoing economic challenges faced by touring artists and small independent performance venues. By investing directly in artists and venues and cultivating relationships with incubators, the project aims to provide artists with opportunities to perform and develop their craft outside of a coveted opening slot on a high-profile tour. Billboard describes One Night Live as “a mission to create a viable alternative for independent artists and venues that have been hit hardest by the growing cost of live events.”

Each show will feature Kid Tigrrr (Jenna Fournier) alongside local and regional artists selected through incubator partners in each market. A Cleveland Rocks PPF incubator alum, Fournier has been closely involved in shaping this tour from the ground up, from curating venues and support acts to helping design the marketing assets herself. Local incubator artists include Midtopia’s Lily Detae, joining Kid Tigrrr at Berlin (NYC) on November 8.

The challenges facing artists and venues are clear: research from the UK shows that a $15 ticketed show for an emerging artist requires more than $36 per ticket to produce. Without external support, both the artist and the venue must absorb the difference, creating a system that is unsustainable. Meanwhile, in the U.S., 64% of independent venues reported losing money in 2024 according to a recent NIVA State Of Live survey, conducted with support from Live Music Society. With fewer resources available to emerging artists, including recording labels funding early-stage development, artists and venues are subsidizing costs.

This fall run builds on the success of One Night Live’s inaugural tour this spring, which featured Ellie Williams, Sofia Lafuente, and Farayi Malek on a three-week run across the East Coast, South, and Midwest. Austin-based nonprofit Music Cities Together, led by Don Pitts, is helping to support this second tour by connecting the routing with music advocates in each location and a new nonprofit, Fan Alliance, will partner with Kid Tigrrr to engage fans. Donald Cohen, Fan Alliance’s founder, says, “Our mission is to educate fans on the issues facing working artists, to create a fair and equitable music economy. One Night Live gets that by providing support to both the artists and the venues.”

Cat Henry, Exec Director of Live Music Society: “We continue to build and scale One Night Live with this second tour, so that we can bring additional support to the small venues in our network, discover new venues, and actively engage beyond our grant programs to connect stages with new talent. We are grateful to artist incubators such as Salt Lick Incubator, Midtopia, and Cleveland Rocks for nurturing these artists and assisting them with their careers.”

Tom DeGeorge, COO of D-TOUR: “D-TOUR is thrilled to expand on its work with LMS to create better opportunities and sustainable paths for developing artists by partnering with Kid Tigrrr and the Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present & Future music incubator. Now more than ever these pathways are needed to protect the relationship between independent venues and artists as well as to enhance the experience of the music fan who finds value and joy in discovering their next favorite artist in this intimate setting for One Night Live.”

Cindy Barber, founder of Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present & Future: “There is amazing talent in the Northeast Ohio region but little music industry infrastructure, so we started an incubator program in 2020 to provide funding, mentorship and networking. One Night Live is an opportunity to collaborate and help Jenna get the national recognition she so richly deserves.”

About Kid Tigrrr

Kid Tigrrr is the new solo project from singer-songwriter and visual artist Jenna Fournier, front-woman of the shoegaze hybrid Niights. Following two studio albums and four international tours to Japan, Fournier parted ways with her record label to venture into audio engineering in pursuit of experimentation with home recording and production. Her debut LP, Stoned + Animald, is an ethereal blend of art-rock, melancholy indie, and dream-pop, painting lush atmospheres around her most intimate writing to date. The album title, as Fournier explained in a recent interview on NPR, refers to being judged harshly (stoned) and thrust into survival mode (animald.) In a vulnerable effort to challenge stigmas, she tackles subjects such as abuse, addiction, and mental health, pushing her horizons both conceptually and sonically. Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, a long-time influence of her sound, recruited Fournier to sing backup on the band's upcoming album, Aghori Mhori Mei, before releasing Stoned + Animald on vinyl through his own label, Martha’s Music. She then joined Billy Corgan and the Machines of God as a touring bassist, stating in Guitar World, "I think it’s healthy for me to sometimes step away from myself." Kid Tigrrr also finds inspiration from Grouper, Mazzy Star, My Bloody Valentine, CocoRosie, Grimes, and The Cure.
