One-Of-A-Kind Initiative Empowering Emerging Artists and Small Venues Continues This Spring

One Night Live, Featuring:

Jesus Christ Taxi Driver - March 23-April 11

Claire Ernst + Dani Offline - March 27-April 12

Made Possible By Collective Of Partners: Live Music Society, D-Tour, Salt Lick Incubator and Midtopia

January 30, 2026 – One Night Live, a touring initiative created by Live Music Society in collaboration with like-minded organizations to provide crucial support for emerging artists and small independent venues, returns this spring with two new tours, spanning more than 30 dates across the East Coast, West Coast, and Midwest. Created in response to the ongoing economic challenges facing emerging artists and independent venues, the initiative brings together touring support, artist incubator partnerships, and direct financial assistance to help create more viable touring opportunities while strengthening connections between artists, venues, and local communities. Launched in 2025, One Night Live has produced four tours to date, including the two upcoming runs. Billboard describes One Night Live as “a mission to create a viable alternative for independent artists and venues that have been hit hardest by the growing cost of live events.”

Jesus Christ Taxi Driver

March 23 - April 11

The first run starting March 23 is produced in partnership with Midtopia and features Jesus Christ Taxi Driver. Jesus Christ Taxi Driver is a Colorado-based rock band known for their raw, high-energy live shows and sharp, satirical songwriting. Their upcoming sophomore album, Taxi The Rich, arrives April 24 via Midtopia, with an early vinyl release on March 19 as part of Midtopia’s Buy Before You Stream initiative, which prioritizes direct artist-to-fan support. The band has shared stages with artists like Frank Black and The Hold Steady, appeared at festivals including Treefort Music Fest, and was named to NIVA’s 2025 Live List of independent bands to watch.

“Midtopia is excited to partner with Live Music Society for One Night Live. Supporting artists in their career development is an essential step in cultivating a healthy ecosystem for music and its creators. We hope this partnership leads to meaningful opportunities, sustainable growth, and long-term support for artists at every stage of their journey.” — Brandon Pittman, Marketing Director, Midtopia

Each One Night Live date is designed as a collaborative event, encouraging venues to include local artists on the bill and providing support through a shared door split and a $300 stipend from Live Music Society to help offset marketing and production costs. Participating venues are invited to share feedback following each event, helping the program continue to evolve and better serve artists, venues, and fans.

“One Night Live was created to address real gaps in the touring ecosystem, where emerging artists and small venues are doing incredible work but often lack the structural support to sustain it. As the program grows in 2026 and beyond, our goal is to expand artists’ opportunities to tour as part of our mission to support small venues that make live music accessible and affordable.” Cat Henry, Executive Director of Live Music Society

The 2026 tours build on the success of previous One Night Live runs, which have brought developing artists into independent venues across the country while strengthening relationships between artists, promoters, incubators, and communities. With these two spring tours, One Night Live continues its mission to create more sustainable pathways for artists to get on the road and for venues to thrive. One Night Live has previously featured Kid Tigrrr, Ellie Williams, Sofia Lafuente, and Farayi Malek.

About Live Music Society

Live Music Society (LMS) empowers small venues and listening rooms across the United States. Since 2020, the nonprofit has distributed $5.1 million in grants to 227 unique venues, supporting live music stages, emerging talents, established artists, staff, and patrons. With a focus on engaging communities, expanding audiences, increasing representation, and enhancing the live music experience, these grants underscore the foundation's commitment to strengthening the small, independent venue ecosystem nationwide. In 2025, LMS introduced One Night Live, a first-of-its-kind, continuously growing touring collaboration with organizations like D-TOUR, Salt Lick Incubator, and Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present & Future. The series creates a new touring model that lowers costs, shares resources, and strengthens the connection between emerging artists and the independent venues hit hardest by rising live-music expenses. livemusicsociety.org

This alternative to current music industry models is based on a philosophy of “do it ourselves” invoking greater cohesion to strengthen and build equity among artists and music workers, regardless of geographical location or current industry status. Like an intricate network of roots beneath a tree, this multidisciplinary collaboration will enhance these concepts, giving artists and workers the ability to cultivate more sustainable growth, strengthen independence, fortify community, and propagate truly unique creative identities.
