"An Absolutely Stunning Record" - NPR Music

February 23, 2026 - - Singer-songwriter, film composer and pianist Patrick Watson will launch his biggest-ever U.S. tour on March 20, with many of his largest venues played to date already sold out including Brooklyn’s 1,100-capacity Warsaw and Los Angeles’ 1,300-capacity Belasco Theater. The tour also includes Big Ears in Knoxville, 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., and Thalia Hall in Chicago. See below for the full itinerary and sold out shows / low ticket warning indications.

Watson is touring to support his latest album release, Uh Oh (Secret City Records). A deeply collaborative meditation on the idea of life being a series of “uh ohs”, the album features Martha WainwrightKlô PelgagMARONovember Ultra, and more, and was celebrated on NPR’s Best Albums and Best Songs of 2025 lists, calling it “an absolutely stunning record.” Uh Ohdebuted at #1 on the Canadian Album Sales chart upon its release in October, in a Top 10 that included new albums from Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter, and has earned a Juno nomination for Adult Alternative Album of the Year.

In addition to the fast-selling tour and acclaimed new album, Watson is making headlines for the original music he composed for the Oscar nominated film The Girl Who Cried Pearls. Directed by Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski,The Girl Who Cried Pearls is up for Best Animated Short Film, and Watson was in attendance at the annual Oscar nominees luncheon in Los Angeles earlier this month. Watson has scored over 15 films, and his songs have been featured in primetime crowd-pleasers like Grey’s Anatomy and This Is Us, as well as in multiple arthouse films from Denis Villeneuve (Polytechnique), Wim Wenders (Perfect Days), Philippe Falardeau (C’est pas moi, je le jure!).

Watson’s fanbase continues to grow globally with the success of “Je te laisserai des mots” - a haunting ballad that recently became the first French language song to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify. Initially a bonus track that gained significant traction during the pandemic, the song has propelled Watson to over 60 billion views on TikTok2+ billion global streams25M+ TikTok creations, and 18M+ Shazams. The song was certified double-platinum by the RIAA in August, and was featured in the finale of the hit show The Summer I Turned Pretty. Watson was interviewed about the surprise hit in The Guardian.

A culmination of 20 years of musical experimentation and lived experience, the 11 original songs on Uh Oh find Watson meditating on the idea of life being a series of “uh ohs”: a little phrase uttered in response to everything from childhood accidents to our most overwhelming anxieties. For Watson, it came to mind when faced with the biggest “uh oh” that a singer could endure he lost his voice. Unsure if or when he would be able to sing again, his new album took a new shape, a collection of collaborations with friends and strangers; artists that he wanted to hear sing. Watson has shared a number of music videos for Uh Oh: “Silencio” with French artist November Ultra, “Gordon in the Willows” with fellow Montrealer Charlotte Cardin, “House On Fire” with Martha Wainwright, “The Wandering” with MARO, and “Peter and the Wolf.”

About Patrick Watson

Patrick Watson composes, performs, and records his albums with his long-time bandmate, collaborator and multi-instrumentalist Mishka Stein, and Olivier Fairfield. The Canadian artist reached gold and platinum status in multiple countries (including five certified gold albums in Canada), and his shows sell out around the world. Over the course of his career, Patrick has retained the uncanny ability to coexist in mainstream pop-culture spaces and on the avant-garde fringes. Patrick’s songs have been featured in primetime crowd-pleasers like Grey’s Anatomy and This Is Us, as well as in multiple arthouse films from Denis Villeneuve (Polytechnique), Wim Wenders(Perfect Days), Philippe Falardeau (C’est pas moi, je le jure!) and more. He’s an artist who’s as comfortable performing impromptu pop-up shows on the train tracks in a Quebec mining town as he is leading the BBC Orchestra at London’s prestigious Barbican. He’s an in-demand composer with over 15 film scores under his belt. He was awarded the prestigious inaugural Impact Award at the 2024 Canadian Sync Awards. Watson’s viral single "Je te laisserai des mots" became the first French song to accumulate 1 billion streams on Spotify.
