Tuesday, July 9 (Bentonville, AR) - This past weekend, Grammy Award-winning indie band Portugal. The Man performed to a vibrant crowd at The Momentary as part of their Live on the Green outdoor music series. The Momentary, Bentonville’s newest cultural hub, has become a coveted performance destination for Grammy winners and rising artists across all genres.
The concert featured performances of the band’s smash hits “Feel It Still,” “Modern Jesus,” and “Creep in a T-shirt.” The show began with a performance by special guest Gaby Nagel, a Cherokee flutist based in Arkansas who was brought on stage by Pass The Mic, the band’s organization focused on building community resilience, empathy, and awareness through music, stories, art, education and connectivity, with a specific focus on highlighting the stories of Indigenous people.
Live on the Green kicked off in April with a show stopping performance by Oscar and Grammy Award-winner, Jon Batiste, and recently featured a special concert by 12X Grammy Award-winner, John Legend. The John Legend show was extra special for the Bentonville community as it took place in the wake of the region’s devastating tornadoes.
