Today, PREP release “Pictures of You” off their highly anticipated full-length debut album out later this year. "Pictures of You" is the perfect summer pick-me-up. The groove features the band's unique combination of sounds (yacht rock x Japanese city pop) while lead singer Tom Havelock's honeyed vocals shine through the funky production.

“[The song is about] the person you keep thinking about but can’t be with, and the frustrations of trying to connect with them from a distance,” PREP's Tom Havelock says. “I think I was feeling the strain from a run of failed FaceTime attempts on underpowered wifi – all awkward stop-start interruptions and frozen chin shots. I didn’t want the ‘pictures’ to be too literal. It’s more about where your head keeps taking you. But there’s also some of that feeling in there of lying on a bed alone, zoning out while you scroll through photos on your phone.”

“Pictures of You” follows PREP’s "glittering and punchy all at once" (Consequence of Sound) start to 2020 with the release of “Love Breaks Down” and “Over” featuring Norwegian electro-pop singer/songwriter Anna of the North.

PREP members are all in their respective homes during the pandemic, but that hasn’t stopped them from recording a lockdown “rendition” of their hit “Cheapest Flight.”
