The Café Carlyle residency featured a range of Marx’s memorable hits from a four-decade career, never-before-heard new songs, personal stories, and elegant classics from the American Songbook. Performances included Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind” with jazz pianist/singer Peter Cincotti; the Everly Bros. timeless “Dream” with actor/singer Rita Wilson; Rogers & Hart show tune “The Lady is a Tramp” with ‘Real Housewife’ Heather Dubrow, and country music’s Chely Wright on Marx’s own “Happy New Year Old Friend.”

"I wanted it to be Dean Martin meets Frank Sinatra meets Sammy,"  the recent Illinois Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee told Good Day New York"I wanted to capture some of that fun where we just take everyone's mind off everything for 2 hours."

The engagement also spotlighted selections from Marx’s forthcoming album After Hours(out January 16, 2026), including the just-released, hard-swinging single "Big Band Boogie" feat. Kenny G (also previewed at Café Carlyle, with Hugh Jackman). Channeling the classic-cool spirit of the Songbook era, After Hours pairs beloved standards with new originals written in that retro vein and was recorded entirely live with a 24-piece ensemble. News.
