“[Silver] fits in perfectly at the Paradise Garage, David Mancuso’s loft, or the famous Z Records Mutant Disco compilation back in the early 80s… this thing is perfect." —NPR Music
“Say She She’s sophomore album, Silver, remains a station-wide obsession.” —KCRW
"The super catchy 16 track long player is an impressive showcase of contemporary R&B with a retro undercurrent... and of course, that special Say She She ~je ne sais quois~ that gives the collection staying power through and through." —KEXP
Say She She just released their sophomore album Silver on Karma Chief/Colemine Records, a 16-track collection of their singular post-disco sound that proves they are the "staggeringly inventive” breakout band to watch (The Guardian).
Last Friday, NPR Music included Silver in their newest New Music Friday episode, with a rave review from correspondent John Morrison: “I absolutely love the sound of this record, the music is like a funky contemporary update of that classic New York underground disco sound. Fits in perfectly at the Paradise Garage, David Mancuso’s loft, or the famous Z Records Mutant Disco compilation back in the early 80s — this thing is perfect."
Clash Music premiered the music video for “Questions,” a funky jolt of 80’s dance-pop that serves as a stark warning to stand up for what you believe in. With choreography and a sound reminiscent of Madonna’s “Vogue”, Say She She sprinkle psychedelic collages throughout this glamorous yet nonchalant reminder that you can strike a pose while questioning the powers that be.

Silver just topped the KCRW Top 30 chart, marking the fourth time the band has been #1 at the station this year. Says DJ Marion Hodges, "Brooklyn’s Say She She are stealthily among KCRW’s highest-charting artists of the past two years. Their freshly-released sophomore album Silver rides the assured momentum of last year’s Prism into more adventurous territory: The trio’s skin-tight harmonies are somehow even tighter, the Chic worship more pronounced, and the R&B theatrics more locked into the groove.”
