Today, Secretly extends its collective congratulations to the artists and affiliated companies who just earned a total of six Libera Awards last night. Marking the country's largest, annual celebration of independent music, the ceremony's biggest achievements came from Japanese Breakfast and Secretly Group record label Dead Oceans, who together took home trophies for Record of The YearBest Alternative Rock RecordCreative Packaging and Marketing Genius, all honoring the critical and commercial breakout of 2021 album, Jubilee. The win for Record of The Year marks the sixth time in the Libera's 11-year history that a Secretly Group artist has taken home the awards' headline category, capping another consecutive year of outstanding work, wide representation, and numerous, influential accomplishments across the top of the field.  

Additional Secretly wins included Phoebe Bridgers and Dead Oceans for Best Sync Usage ("I Know the End" – Ep 106 Mare of Easttown), as well as Bryce DessnerAustralian String QuartetSydney Dance Company and Secretly artist collective 37d03d for Best Classical Record (Impermanence/Disintegration). Secretly Distribution also applauds its label partners Sacred Bones, who earned Label of The Year (Medium), and Single Lock Records, who earned two victories for Best Blues Record and Best Spiritual Record.  

Entering the 2022 Libera Awards with 15 concerted nominations for artists Big Red Machine, Bryce Dessner, Durand Jones & The Indications, Phoebe Bridgers, serpentwithfeet, shame, Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen, plus 37d03d and Secretly Group labels Dead OceansJagjaguwar and Secretly Canadian, Secretly was recognized across the genres of alternative, classical, pop, R&B and rock. Japanese Breakfast had also received nods for Breakthrough Artist, Video of The Year and Best Live Act, while Secretly Canadian was up for the A2IM Humanitarian Award, commending the changemaking, charitable mission it has continued to uphold with its ongoing 25th Anniversary campaign, SC25: Every Light On This Side Of The Town. Focused on fighting homelessness in Secretly's hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, SC25 has produced a sprawling series of new music, reissues, creative partnerships and projects, uniting a community of artists and fans in a goal to raise $250,000 for the local, gender-inclusive organization, New Hope For Families

As the culmination of A2IM's Indie Week conference, the Libera Awards followed a busy few days for Secretly executives. Secretly Group Project Manager Alia Raheem discussed investing in queer artists beyond Pride month, and Secretly Co-CEO Darius Van Arman participated in a closing panel to predict what 2023 will hold for the music industry.

Earlier this month, a record 13 Secretly executives were also named on Billboard's list of 2022 Indie Power Players.
