Secretly Distribution & Royalty Accounting Platform Infinite Catalog Announce Strategic Partnership

New Integrations Make It Easier For Independent Record Labels To Pay Artists More Often

Secretly Distribution celebrates its 25th Anniversary in 2023, and today it begins by announcing a new strategic partnership with the independent royalty accounting platform, Infinite Catalog. From Secretly affiliates such as Dead Oceans, drink sum wtr, Ghostly International, Jagjaguwar, Saddest Factory Records, Secretly Canadian, The Numero Group and 37d03d, to Sacred Bones, Captured Tracks, Run For Cover, Rhymesayers, Joyful Noise, Father/Daughter, Big Crown, Colemine and beyond, Secretly Distribution is a leading music distributor and global solution for the world's most exciting record labels, and alongside Infinite Catalog, it is now easier for hundreds of artists to be paid more often.

Described as "QuickBooks for royalties" and already in use by over twenty Secretly Distribution labels, Infinite Catalog's partnership will bring new benefits and integrations between the two companies' respective platforms, including the automated delivery of royalty data.

"This is a small step with big implications," says Hunter Giles, Co-Founder of Infinite Catalog. "Traditionally, distribution and royalty accounting are either completely siloed from each other or 'all in one' — the former makes it harder to track royalties and pay artists, the latter makes it harder for labels to work with the best partners and maximize their catalog's potential. Integration between the two, on the other hand, is the best of both efficiency and independence, benefiting labels, artists, and the entire ecosystem. Super grateful to Secretly for their vision, trust, and always putting the independent community first."

Darius Van Arman, Co-CEO of Secretly Distribution, adds, "When we got to know the Infinite Catalog team, we were very happy to learn that their principles are aligned with our own. Like us, Infinite Catalog is committed to bringing scale advantage to small and medium-sized labels, so that at a relatively low cost they can have the same caliber of royalty processing capabilities as the biggest music companies. Infinite Catalog is also committed to interoperability, enabling equitable and transparent accounting to artists, and sustaining independence. We are very excited to grow along-side Infinite Catalog and work together with them to support the extraordinary artists and labels in our shared ecosystem."

Ahead of its 25th Anniversary year, Secretly Distribution's global digital and physical operations once again led to double-digit revenue growth, exceeding $90 million in 2022. Secretly Distribution also extended its presence to project management and digital marketing teams in the UK and Europe, as it created new positions and expanded staff in all departments, invested in new technology and infrastructure for record label partners, and facilitated major releases across its vast client base. The company will have more exciting news and developments to share as 2023 continues.
