Seeker Music, the songwriter-led music rights, publishing, and record company, has inked a partnership with Latin record label, artist management and entertainment company MITH Media. Through the partnership, Seeker and MITH will jointly sign songwriters and artists, acquire and manage catalogs, expand Seeker’s footprint in LATAM and U.S Latin-music markets, and develop new genre-focused IP and projects. The alliance is the result of the companies’ shared passion for the explosive Latin music industry, and their collective vision for individualized artist and songwriter development, and active catalog management - celebrating the music and the artform, rather than just investing in another asset class.

The #1-hit GRAMMY-Nominated Latin songwriter K. Sotomayor (Selena Gomez, DJ Snake, Sofia Reyes, Maria Becerra, Kim Petras), and the singer-songwriter Dēlian (Mariah Angeliq, Sofia Reyes, Kurt, The Change, Malu Trevejo, Chesca, Lourdiz) are the first two signings to the Seeker-MITH Publishing partnership. K Sotomayor’s latest co-written hit, “COBARDE” by Sofia Reyes and Beéle, has been sitting on top of the Latin Pop Billboard charts for 20 weeks running, peaking at #3 - listen to it HERE.

To date, Seeker’s 14,000+ copyright catalog includes the works of Christopher Cross, Charlotte Caffey of the Go-Gos, Run the Jewels (first three albums), Jon Bellion, John Ryan (One Direction), Mozella, Plested and many more, and their publishing roster includes hit songwriters such as Kito and Dan “Robopop” Omelio. MITH was founded by Charlie Guerrero & Paloma Hecht over a decade ago, and its footprint includes managing superstar Sofia Reyes and Latin vocalist Carlos Zaur; executive producing and releasing songs with global artists such as David Guetta, Sean Paul, Sofia Reyes, Jason Derulo, Maria Becerra, Anitta, De La Ghetto and more in collaboration with Warner Latin, Neon16 and Sony Latin; creating sponsorship and branding opportunities for artists and brands like T-Mobile, L’oreal, Cuervo, and Heineken (to mention a few); and a partnership for the West Coast and Las Vegas with BRESH (the biggest Latin party in the world).

A significant focus of the alliance will include collaborating on the active management of Seeker’s catalog through Latin America, an effort that began in 2023 when Seeker and MITH teamed up to promote the tenth anniversary of One Direction’s Midnight Memories (rights of which Seeker holds via their acquisition of John Ryan’s catalog) throughout the region.

The idea for the Seeker-MITH partnership is something Seeker CEO and hit songwriter (Rihanna’s “SOS,” Beyonce’s “Halo”) Evan Bogart, and MITH’s CEO Charlie Guerrero have been exploring since mid-pandemic. They had been friendly for over ten years, and it turned out the timing to team up for both companies was perfect. Evan had just started Seeker and had ambitions to eventually expand into the Latin music market, and Charlie was in the process of expanding MITH to new horizons. Beyond collaboratively building bridges between the Latin and US creative communities, they both wanted to prioritize taking care of, and really investing - emotionally, creatively, and personally, not just financially - in music creators.

Evan Bogart said “As a songwriter, I’ve always been inspired by Latin music’s richness, passion, depth of songwriting, and music culture. It deeply resonates with me as a music creator, and it’s one of my biggest goals for Seeker in 2024, to embrace and invest in the Latin music genre, and community. There’s no two better people to partner with to make that happen than my friends, Charlie and Paloma, and their company MITH. I feel a tremendous sense of excitement to be able to build something so extraordinary together, and am proud to be in business with two of the most beloved executives in Latin music who have earned the trust of so many incredible artists and songwriters over the years.”

Steven Melrose, Seeker Music Global Head of Creative, added “Hugely excited to be partnering with Charlie, Paloma and the whole MITH team. They’re a great team that I know will add value to us all in our catalog, publishing and label adventures whilst also expanding the Seeker global reach that’s already firmly entrenched in Europe, the UK, and beyond!”

Charlie Guerrero said “From the inception of MITH over a decade ago, our intention has always been to create a company that supports and empowers creativity and dreams. This new venture is a wonderful addition to our core mission as it will allow us to support and develop songwriters and catalogs on a top notch financial and administrative scale, while truly developing them creatively; songwriters are artists, and songs are pieces of art, we’re gonna treat them as such. Evan is not only a creative that I admire and respect, and who shares MITH’s fundamental values, but he is also a brilliant businessman who I’m excited to work with, collaborate with, and learn from. We began our venture a couple months ago, and in a very short time we’ve been able to do some great things like signing K and Dēlian in collaboration with producer Thom Bridges. We’ve already been activating catalog campaigns in Latin territories with super cool street and digital campaigns and making new content from catalogs. We’re in active conversations with several important catalogs in regards to investment and acquisition. And we’re identifying new songwriters and artists to sign and collaborate with. We’re just stretching our legs, and off to a wonderful start!”
