Shiner Announces Partnership with Randy Rogers Band, Bringing Together Two Quintessential Texas Icons

SHINER, TX (March 2, 2018) - Today, Spoetzl Brewery, brewer of Shiner Bock, announces partnership with fellow Texas fan favorite, the Randy Rogers Band. The freshly-inked deal officially brings together two long-established Texas brands just in time to celebrate Texas Independence Day, which is March 4.

For more than a century Shiner has become known as the iconic Texas craft beer favored by longtime residents including the talented musicians of the Randy Rogers Band. With a long history of supporting live music and artists, Shiner is proud to support a nationally recognized band with deep Texas roots and an authentic connection to the local culture.

"For more than fifteen years the Randy Rogers Band has been releasing chart-topping hits beloved by country music fans," said Gregor Mina, Director of Marketing for Spoetzl Brewery. "Like Shiner, the band has developed a loyal following throughout Texas and beyond and we could not be more thrilled to join them on the road in 2018."

Rolling Stone deemed the Randy Rogers Band's upcoming album, which is set to be released later this year, as one of the "most anticipated country music albums of 2018," not to mention, three of the band's past studio records have hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

"There is nothing more Texas than Shiner Bock and country music. Shiner has been the staple beer for us throughout our career so it's an exciting time to officially welcome them on the road with us, and no better time to announce than on Texas Independence Day," said the band's frontman Randy Rogers.

Shiner will have presence throughout the year on the Randy Rogers Band tour marking another milestone for Shiner, whose commitment to the country music scene also includes partnerships with Texas rocker Wade Bowen and other rising artists.

More About Shiner and the Spoetzl Brewery:

The Spoetzl Brewery - named after brewmaster Kosmos Spoetzl - was founded in Shiner, Texas (population 2,069), in 1909, brewing beer with old-world traditions and recipes for the many German and Czech settlers in the state. Since then, the brewery has grown to be one of the leading independent craft brewers in the country. But every drop of the award-winning beer is still brewed right where it all started 109 years ago. About the Randy Rogers Band:

Over the course of a dozen releases and multiple major award nominations, the Randy Rogers Band has gone from rowdy college-town bar group to one of the most successful, longest-running acts in the always burgeoning Texas music scene. A group that's regularly on the road 200 dates a year makes a natural fit for the Texas Department of Transportation's 2018 "Don't Mess With Texas" campaign, and the Randy Rogers Band is booked deep into 2018 to play fan favorites like "Tequila Eyes," "Tonight's Not the Night," "Kiss Me in the Dark" and "In My Arms Instead" all across the country. Camaraderie and creativity have made Rogers and bandmates Geoffrey Hill (guitar), Johnny "Chops" Richardson (bass guitar), Brady Black (fiddle), Les Lawless (drums) and Todd Stewart (utility player) one of the top bands on the competitive Texas music community, and the group has reached the Top 5 of Billboard's country albums chart with each of its last three studio releases, including 2016's "Nothing Shines Like Neon." The group recently completed a new album, set for a Fall 2018 release, at Nashville's historic RCA Studio A with GRAMMY-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson).
