Shore Fire Media congratulates the artists we have represented in the past year who earned a collective six nominations for the Americana Music Association’s 2024 Americana Honors and Awards. Shore Fire clients earned nominations in Artist, Album, Song, Duo/Group and Emerging Act of the year categories.
Sierra Ferrell leads the tally with nominations for Artist, Album and Song of the Year, following the March 2024 release of her critically acclaimed new album Trail of Flowers (Rounder Records). The three nominations tie Ferrell with Tyler Childers for the most nominations for any artist this year, and they follow her 2023 Artist of the Year nomination, and 2022 win for Emerging Act of the Year. Ferrell performed Trail of Flowers highlight “Dollar Bill Bar” live during the nominations announcement ceremony in Nashville yesterday.
Husband-and-wife duo The War and Treaty also performed live at the ceremony yesterday and earned a nomination for Duo/Group of the Year for a third straight year, following wins in the category in 2023 and 2022. Nashville-based breakout singer-songwriter Jobi Riccio, who released her “incisive debut” (NYT) Whiplashon Yep Roc last year, earned a nomination for Emerging Act of the Year, and Hurray for the Riff Raff’s lauded The Past Is Still Alive (Nonesuch) - which Rolling Stone hailed as “astonishingly realized” and Paste called “the most important album of the 2020s so far” - was nominated for Album of the Year. See below for a full list of Shore Fire nominees.
The Americana Honors and Awards will be held September 18, 2024 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN.
