August 11, 2021 — Shore Fire Media, a leading PR firm for entertainment, arts and culture, welcomes Shannon Cosgrove as a Senior Account Executive. She will be based in the company’s Brooklyn office and report to Senior VP Rebecca Shapiro.
Cosgrove comes to Shore Fire from Girlie Action Media where, as Senior Publicist since 2018, she designed and executed national PR campaigns for Thurston Moore, Shamir, Devon Welsh (Majical Cloudz), and Harry Belafonte’s The Gathering for Justice, and worked with touring artists including Imogen Heap, Santigold and Hop Along. Earlier, she garnered record industry experience as a media and communications coordinator at Warner Records in Los Angeles and served as a junior publicist at BB Gun Press, handling tour and national press for artists including Madonna, Muse, Chris Cornell and Garbage.
Cosgrove has a range of experience as a journalist/writer, working as an editorial assistant and writer at the Los Angeles Times, a freelance writer for publications including L.A. Record and for country music label CMH Records. As a student, she covered the L.A. music scene for the UCLA Daily Bruin. She began her PR career at Big Hassle Media, where she handled artist tour press for the likes of Brandi Carlile and beyond.

Cosgrove was born in Germany and raised in both Germany and Bainbridge Island, WA. She earned a BA in English from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA).
