USA Today's longtime senior music writer Brian Mansfield joins Shore Fire Media as content director as of October 13. Mansfield will be based in Nashville and will lead a NY-based team in creating content channels and developing social-media strategies. Mansfield's responsibilities span Shore Fire's prestigious roster, which includes non-music clients such as Pepsi and Rodale and whose diverse array of music clients have already scored #1s on the Billboard 200, Heatseekers, Country and Jazz Albums charts in 2015.
Mansfield joins Shore Fire's staff of 26 in offices in Brooklyn and Nashville. Shore Fire celebrated its 25th anniversary this April and its client roster includes Bruce Springsteen, Lana Del Rey, Zac Brown Band, Lee Brice, St. Vincent, Tobias Jesso Jr., Houndmouth, Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, the indie label organization A2IM, Downtown Music Publishing, the Americana Music Association, and charities WhyHunger and Music & Memory. Shore Fire represents venues such as Brooklyn Bowl and The Capitol Theatre, and this summer's top festivals Milwaukee Summerfest and the top-grossing Fare Thee Well concerts.
Shore Fire has been the highest ranked music PR firm in the NY Observer's PR Power List for the past two years.
Shore Fire President Marilyn Laverty is a recipient of Billboard's Top 40 "Women In Music" award and Advertising Age's "Entertainment Marketers of the Year" Award.
Brian Mansfield is a former member of the board of directors of the Country Music Association.
