SHOWX Announces Initial Funding Investments From Members Of New York Angels

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, JUNE 2 — Today, SHOWX — the new app that gives the musical middle class the tools to rise up and meet the current challenges of the music business — announces a sizable investment from certain members of the New York Angels, one of New York City’s longest-running, most active angel groups that was instrumental in the early funding of Pinterest and many other notable startups.

Says New York Angels member Graciela Bergner:

“SHOWX plays into two timely and substantive themes: 1. the creator economy and 2. building an ever evolving platform where musicians, venues and fans can engage and leverage each other.”

She continues: “Lincoln Schofield is the right person to execute the ShowX mission given his extensive experience in the music industry, his sensitivity for musicians, and his grit. Lincoln will undoubtedly press ahead and build every bridge towards realizing his vision."

The announcement follows the successful launch of SHOWX’s innovative new ticketing platform, a direct-to-fan service that gives artists control of ticketing data and helps them cultivate audiences in new touring markets. SHOWX founder Lincoln Schofield credits the guidance and mentorship of Iqram Magdon-Ismail — co-founder of Venmo and Ense as well as a musician and SHOWX user —  for the early development and realization of SHOWX’s mission.
