Follow Up To Debut Album 'When the night' Coming Soon
Brooklyn by-way-of South Africa outfit St. Lucia have shared their first new music in over two years. Listen to “Dancing On Glass” now via Columbia Records here.
Produced by frontman/founder Jean-Philip Grobler and Chris Zane (Passion Pit, The Walkmen, Holy Ghost!), “Dancing On Glass” finds the band in top form, a razor-sharp synth riff propelling Grobler’s pop mastery to new heights, while the lyrics venture into unexplored, darker territory. Grobler explains:
“Dancing on Glass” is about that inescapable pull within each human being towards things that are dangerous or 'bad for us'. The song is more about how delicious that moment can be and less about finger wagging and saying it's wrong. I was really inspired by Hall & Oates & Crowded House when writing this song with Tim Pagnotta, and how their songs can so often seem happy and positive on the surface but there’s always this undercurrent of something else.
