Today, Susanna Hoffs invites listeners into her most intimate, frank and personal conversations with the release of her brand new album of all original music, The List. Recorded in her Los Angeles home and produced alongside CJ Camerieri (Bon Iver, Paul Simon, yMusic), The List is what happens when an artist and her closest friends gather around the kitchen table and share the stories that define one's life. From heartbreak to an empty nest, a new crush, foolish mistakes and the fading memory of what might have been, it is all part of The List, as Hoffs turns her deepest, decade-spanning memories into "a dozen touching and witty songs," reflecting "an emotional wisdom that had to be earned through experience" (Los Angeles Times).

Named after her neatly-penciled record of all her past romantic entanglements – prior to meeting her husband of 33 years, Jay Roach – The List captures what it means to be alive and in love, with highlights like "None of Them Were You" looking back on the many partners who have come and gone, and the gratitude she holds for the only one who has remained irreplaceable.

Recognized around the world as co-founder of the multi-platinum, chart-topping band The Bangles – who soundtracked an era with anthems like "Manic Monday," "Walk Like an Egyptian," "In Your Room" and "Eternal Flame" – The List turns the page to a new chapter of Susanna Hoffs' astounding artistic legacy, as someone who is best known to her inner circle for the stories she tells. Opening with "Casablanca," inspired by the surreal New Orleans encounter Hoffs had with the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir in 1988, The List closes with "What Are Wings For," written by Hoffs, Camerieri, and Brickell, for the musical adaptation of Hoffs' bestselling, debut novel, This Bird Has Flown (hailed as "a total knockout" by The New York Times). Sung by the story's protagonist, Jane Start, it is a declaration of personal and artistic freedom, as Jane finds the courage to break free from expectation and claim her own moment in the spotlight, discovering her own voice.
