Tuesday, February 7th: Today, Sydney-based artist grentperez releases new single “Old With You,” via AWAL & Fast Friends. The latest offering from the multifaceted artist pairs sweet and intimate lyrics with a sparkling alchemy of DIY-pop, R&B, soul and jazz, finding a satisfying middle path between Michael Buble and Frank Ocean.

“‘Old With You’ is a song about living a life that retains its youthful days even after the test of time,’ grentperez explains. “If I ever grow old” is a funny line to me. Growing up is inevitable, but it conveys the message of always having that youthful mentality. Either way, if you were to ever grow old, at least you’ve got someone by your side.”

“Old With You” follows grentperez’s holiday single “When Christmas Comes Again” and Trail Mix Tape – a genre blurred compilation exploring new new sonics and production, while continuing perfecting his “laid back chill sound with a lot of soul.” The project included tracks like joyous “Wishful Thinking,” heartfelt “Don’t Grow Up Too Fast,”and upbeat “Ego.”

The multi hyphenate recently announced that he will be joining Cavetown, mxmtoon & Ricky Montgomery on The Bittersweet Daze Tour in the US during July & August 2023. grentperez will also be gracing the United States with his ”music you can fall in love to” (NPR Music) on his sold-out six-date run in New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Music lulls us into a meditative state. It allows us to relax, reflect, and, ultimately, recharge. Sydney born singer, songwriter, artist and producer grentperez unlocks this place whether in the studio, on stage, or under the watchful eye of the computer camera in his childhood bedroom where he’s recorded most of his music to date.
