Today, Talkhouse has announced a number of new additions to its stable of award-winning podcasts, featuring leading titles in the worlds of music, food, politics, and beyond. These five shows join the already-impressive Talkhouse roster that includes Subway Takes, How Long Gone, Blank Check, Alison Roman's Solicited Advice, Life of the Record, Craig Finn's That's How I Remember It, Santigold's Noble Champions, and Björk: Sonic Symbolism

The new additions are supplemented by the recent announcement of Fela Kuti: Fear No Mana new 12-part audio series hosted by Jad Abumrad (Radiolab, Dolly Parton's America) that investigates the life and art of musician, activist, and Nigerian icon Fela Kuti. Fela Kuti: Fear No Man delivers an uncategorizable mix of oral history, musicology, journalism, and cutting-edge sound design that takes listeners deep inside Fela's life, music, and legacy. As Fela makes music and inspires rebellion – both then and now – listeners learn how art and music can inspire and threaten both the present and future. Presented by Audible and Higher Ground (founded by President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama), and produced by Western Sound and Talkhouse, the show marks a return to audio storytelling for the 3x Peabody Award-winning Abumrad, and will be released weekly starting on October 15th in conjunction with "Felabration," an annual week-long festival held in Lagos, Nigeria to celebrate the icon's birthday. Talkhouse also recently announced a podcast hosted by Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre) and produced by the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame, that will launch ahead of this year's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony taking place on November 8. This first-of-its-kind partnership between two of the leading indie podcast networks, Radiotopia and Talkhouse, will feature bold, honest conversations with revolutionary women in music, anchored by Hanna's vast experience in the music industry and disarming sense of humor. Further details, including guest announcements and episode previews, will be released in the coming months.

Speaking about the Talkhouse Podcast Network's new additions, Talkhouse founder Ian Wheeler says: “We're so proud to work alongside these creators to make interesting and singular things that don't feel like anything else out there at the moment.

Additional information on the newly added Talkhouse titles can be found below:

Music Person

Part interview show, part travelogue, part something else... Music Person is a podcast about music and the people who live it, by Dylan Tupper Rupert (Bandsplain, KCRW's Groupies).

States of Independence: Beggars Banquet

States of Independence dives deep into the hidden histories of the world’s greatest independent record labels with the people that know them best – the founders who built them, and the artists who made them into the stuff of rock and roll legend. In season one, it’s the saga of Beggars Banquet – an iconic punk era label that would eventually spawn an indie empire. Featuring riotous tales from label founder, Martin Mills, and a line-up of his highest-achieving alumni: Gary Numan, The Cult, Bauhaus, The Fall, The Charlatans, Love and Rockets, and so many more. All of them come together to tell the story of an organisation with the spirit of punk rock baked into its very DNA.

Question Everything with Brian Reed (KCRW)

In the middle of making his second hit podcast, Brian got sued. Accused that he had crossed moral and ethical boundaries with the biggest story of his career – the Peabody Award-winning series S-Town – challenged that it wasn't journalism. He had to spend years defending and questioning himself, obsessing over the question, "What is journalism, anyway?" And "Did I cross the lines?"

Join Brian as he turns the tools he's acquired as a journalist on himself and on journalism. With gripping stories, hard-hitting reporting, and thought-provoking interviews, Question Everything is a show for anyone who's ever felt confused, frustrated, or misled by the news they rely on. At a time when distrust in the media is at an all time high, when so many believe that journalism is failing, Question Everything is a real-time investigation of journalists and their stories.

Left, Right, and Center (KCRW)

Since 1996, KCRW's award-winning weekly podcast has broken through the noise with "civilized yet provocative" debates on politics, policy, and culture. For over 25 years, we've been the antidote to partisan echo chambers, featuring rotating panelists from across the political spectrum who challenge assumptions and find common ground. In today's polarized media landscape, Left, Right & Center stands apart by delivering balanced, thoughtful discussions that help listeners understand all sides of today's most pressing issues.
