“The Bones” Wins Song Of The Year At 2021 BMI Pop Awards

Big Yellow Dog Music congratulates Maren Morris on another big win for her song “The Bones,” which earned a 2021 BMI Pop Award for Song of the Year.

The success of “The Bones,” written by Morris, Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz, has not slowed down since it was released in 2019. It reached #1 on Billboard's Adult Pop Songs Chart, Hot AC Chart and eight others, and spent ten weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. In 2020, the song took home a CMA Single of the Year and Song of the Year. Earlier this year it earned a BMI Country Award and was honored as the ACM Song of the Year.

"Maren Morris is one of the strongest lyrical songwriters I’ve ever heard," says Big Yellow Dog Music co-owner and CEO Carla Wallace. "This is a big win for Maren, but even more valuable to know this was written amongst her friends, Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz. Big Yellow Dog Music" is truly proud to be a part of this massive hit."
