The Cactus Blossoms Share Dan Auerbach Collaboration “Got A Lotta Love” From New Album Easy Way (March 1)

Minneapolis Brother Duo Announces West Coast Headlining Tour + Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion

The Cactus Blossoms – Minneapolis-based brother duo Page Burkum and Jack Torrey – have shared another taste of their forthcoming album Easy Way (out March 1 on Walkie Talkie Records), the gorgeous Dan Auerbach co-write “Got A Lotta Love.” Torrey calls the track “the real love-on-the-rocks story I was searching for” during the Easy Way sessions." The song is the result of a visit to Dan Auerbach’s Nashville studio, where the brothers hit a jolt of inspiration while workshopping a melody they’d kicked around for months. Fifteen minutes later, the song was complete.

After announcing their first 2019 tour dates last month, The Cactus Blossoms have also expanded their U.S. headlining tour to the west coast – adding a dozen new shows this April and May. They will also hit SXSW this year, including a stop at Willie Nelson’s annual Luck Reunion where they will join Mavis Staples, Nathaniel Rateliff and others.

To accompany the track release and tour announcement, The Cactus Blossoms have also shared “Got A Lotta Love Songs,” a Spotify playlist of their favorite romantic tunes from Charlie Rich to Kraftwerk. Check it out here: https://spoti.fi/2Gt2sfr

Recorded by Alex Hall at Reliable Recorders (JD McPherson) in Chicago, 'Easy Way' features ten new, original songs, and special contributors from Auerbach, Mike Lewis (Bon Iver, Andrew Bird) on saxophone and Joel Paterson (Devil in a Woodpile) on pedal steel. The new record has already been hailed for its “freak of genetics harmonies” (Rolling Stone) and “retro but up-to-the-minute” sound (New York Times).
