The Fantasy Footballers and American Cancer Society Partner to Support CHANGE Grants Through Crucial Catch Initiative

The Fantasy Footballers Podcast and American Cancer Society have launched an integrated partnership to support Crucial Catchthroughout the 2018 NFL season. The Fantasy Footballers will be contributing $1 from every purchase of their award-winning, best-selling Ultimate Draft Kit to Crucial Catch, and throughout the year the podcast will be partnering with NFL players to lend a platform to Crucial Catch initiatives. Crucial Catch is a year-round partnership between the American Cancer Society and the National Football League to promote cancer prevention, early detection and access to care.

Fantasy sports have emerged as one of the premier pastimes for sports fans, with over 59 million players in 2017 alone, and the Fantasy Footballers are the world's most popular fantasy football podcast. "We're excited to partner with the American Cancer Society on the Crucial Catch campaign," says Fantasy Footballers co-host Andy Holloway. "It's an incredible opportunity to harness the power of our platform and to connect our fans with an organization and initiative that has already contributed so much to cancer prevention and awareness."

"The American Cancer Society is committed to fighting cancer in every community and with support from partners like the NFL we are saving lives and helping people get access to critical cancer screenings and access to care," said Sharon Byers, Chief Development and Marketing Officer for the American Cancer Society. "We are excited to expand our outreach with the help of the Fantasy Footballers and look forward to making a bigger impact this season and beyond."

Since 2009, the NFL's Crucial Catch has raised more than $18 million in support of ACS. Funding raised since 2012 has supported ACS's CHANGE program and has been invested in underserved communities to increase cancer education and awareness and promote life-saving screening tests. To date, health system grantees have reached more than 632,000 individuals with education, patient reminders and navigation to screening, and contributed to 138,000 breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings. These new grants will improve timely access to follow up care along with a continued focus on access to high-quality breast cancer screening for underserved women.
