The Ghost of Paul Revere Embark on Largest Headlining Tour to Date

After playing sold-out dates across the Midwest, Maine’s “Avett Brothers with a twist of bluegrass” quartet (The Boston Globe) The Ghost of Paul Revere embark on a 38-date cross-country headlining tour, their largest to date. The band plays tracks from upcoming LP ‘Monarch’ (out October 27 on Kobalt Music Recordings) that juxtapose their signature sound of rollicking, foot-stomping banjos, grandiose vocal harmonies, and soulful harmonicas with darkly introspective themes. Having spent much of the last year on the festival circuit, the group has incorporated more experimental live arrangements that make their core influences- Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin- more apparent, and they’ve peppered their sets with covers ranging from “Wagon Wheel” to Snoop Dogg’s “Gin and Juice.”

Since releasing their debut LP ‘Believe’ in 2014, the band has risen to become the top-selling local act in Maine and New Hampshire, and their self-proclaimed “holler-folk” sound, reminiscent of communal, traditional folk songwriting and performance styles, has been lauded by the likes of No Depression, The Boston Globe, and Dispatch Magazine. They’ve played the Newport Folk Festival alongside artists like James Taylor and Jason Isbell, and have toured with The Avett Brothers and The Revivalists.

The tour kicks off September 20 at Otus Supply in Ferndale, MI, and hits many of the nation’s premiere music clubs, including Schuba’s Tavern in Chicago and Stubb’s Jr. in Austin, TX, before closing out with a two-night homecoming engagement at Port City Music Hall in Portland, ME.
