The Nacelle Company Enters The Podcast Realm With Star Trek Actress, Gates McFadden

LOS ANGELES, CA –The Nacelle Company, the people behind Netflix’s Down To Earth with Zac Efron, The Movies That Made Us, and The Toys That Made Us, as well as Disney +’s Behind The Attraction announced that Star Trek actress Gates McFadden will host the first Nacelle Company podcast, which is tentatively titled Who Do You Think You Are? with Gates McFadden. The company is putting the finishing touches on NacelleCast Studios, a state-of-the-art podcast studio next to their production offices in Burbank, which will serve as the main podcast stage for all NacelleCast productions.

Gates McFadden is an actress and choreographer best known for her portrayal of Dr. Beverly Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: Insurrection and Star Trek: Nemesis. Early in her career, Gates worked at The Jim Henson Company woking behind the scenes as a Director of Choreography and Puppet Movement on films such as Labyrinth and Dreamchild.

Who Do You Think You Are? with Gates McFadden will be a limited series consisting of ten episodes hosted by the woman who made Dr. Beverly Crusher a household name. The first episode is expected release in Fall 2020.

“Pantomime takes too much energy, so I asked if we could use mics,” said Gates McFadden.

The Nacelle Company has become a household name over the past several years with Pop History focused releases like Netflix’s The Movies That Made Us, The Toys That Made Us and CW’s Discontinued. Their new podcast studio is a huge step forward in broadening their pop-history focused brand into new media.

“As the name of my company suggests, I’m obviously a huge Trekkie. To be working with Gates McFadden on a project like this is a great honor,” said Brian Volk-Weiss, Founder and CEO of The Nacelle Company.
