The Rock and Roll Playhouse Presents: Music for Little Rockers

The Rock and Roll Playhouse Presents: Music for Little Rockers
Rock and Roll Music Workshops for Kids

11am Sundays at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

The Rock and Roll Playhouse will present Music for Little Rockers, a children's-music-workshop series most weekends this fall at Brooklyn Bowl (and The Capitol Theatre). RRPH curriculum director Devlin Goldberg and Dan Griffith, from Ramblin' Dan and the Freewheelin' Band, will lead the workshops, along with special guests.

The Music for Little Rockers series is designed to keep children moving, playing, and singing while simultaneously listening to classic tunes and teaching developmental milestones. Adults will love the cool selection of genres and popular-music hits, and all are encouraged to fully participate. Music for Little Rockers workshops will include Beatles for Little Rockers, Grateful Rockers, World Music, Writing the Blues, Rock and Roll Story Time, and more!

RRPH has been collaborating with such musicians as Phil Lesh, Howard Jones, North Mississippi Allstars, Anders Osborne, the London Souls, Jonathan Toubin, and the Funky Meters to bring amazing music workshops to kids. Featured in both the Daily Voice and New York Times, RRPH’s high-energy workshops are fun for the entire family.

Each workshop is 60 minutes long and is specifically designed for children seven and younger, but all family members are welcome to this family show. Please visit the RRPH site for pricing and the workshops schedule at each venue.

About Brooklyn Bowl:

Brooklyn Bowl is the ultimate night out, with its groundbreaking integration of premiere music, 16 lanes of bowling, a bar featuring locally crafted beers, and food by the acclaimed Blue Ribbon restaurant group. Located in the beautiful, 19th-century Hecla Iron Works building, the venue -- aka "rock and roll heaven" (Village Voice) -- boasts a sound system and amenities that "no other local rock club can offer" (The New York Times).

Wearing its homegrown values on its sleeve, Brooklyn Bowl is as committed to locally made products -- serving award-winning beer from the adjacent Brooklyn Brewery -- as it is to environmental sustainability -- it's the first L.E.E.D.-certified bowling alley in the world. And the food? "Epic," says Eater. In other words, Brooklyn Bowl's unprecedented combination of top-flight music, bowling, beer and food is "like nailing a spare on a four-ten split" (The New Yorker).
