About Trombone Shorty
Born Troy Andrews, Trombone Shorty is the premier ambassador of New Orleans music, carrying the torch for Crescent City culture while propelling it into the 21st century. Getting his start earlier than most—performing at Jazz Fest with Bo Diddley at age four and leading his own brass band at six—Shorty has evolved into an undeniable star and explosive live performer. Today, he is a Grammy-winning artist who has played the 2025 Super Bowl, performed at the White House and Madison Square Garden, rocked major festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza, and collaborated with icons from Pharrell and Bruno Mars to Lenny Kravitz and the Foo Fighters.
