Trombone Shorty plays The Greek w/ Ziggy Marley, Mavis Staples, Robert Randolph August 5

Trombone Shorty will bring his high octane blend of funk, jazz, bounce and beyond to The Greek on August 5. The tour features Mavis Staples, Robert Randolph Band and co-headliner Ziggy Marley. The all-star tour has been crossing the US since June - and Shorty even made a quick trip to NPR's Tiny Desk to appear as a guest on Juvenile's episode of the series.

It's been an incredible 2023 for Trombone Shorty, the New Orleans icon and musical ambassador. He put on an energetic live performance in Jackson Square in NOLA for The Today Show in May tied to the Jazz and Heritage Festival (where Shorty played the legendary closing set), was profiled on CBS Mornings, and a trip he took to Cuba with students from his Trombone Shorty Foundation in January was featured on NPR in this All Things Considered segment

In February, he led the Krewe of Freret Parade again this year in the lead up to Mardi Gras, on a massive float featuring his likeness. The parade ended with an all-star 'Shorty Gras' event featuring Flo Rida, Cha Wa, Rebirth Brass Band, Flow Tribe, Khris Royal, and Hot Boy Ronald.

During GRAMMY weekend in LA in February, Shorty tore the house down at the MusiCares tribute to Smokey Robison and Barry Gordy where he played "Shotgun" and he also performed at the Grammy Salute to Paul Simon Concert which aired this past December on CBS. Additional television appearances in the past year include the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, ESPN's Sportscenter, Jimmy Kimmel LiveThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Good Morning America.
