Willie Jones Announces Six-City Barnstorming Tour

Features Stops in St. Louis, Cincinnati and Nashville

Set to open for Nelly in September

Recently named one of “5 Black Artists Rewriting Country Music” by The Recording Academy, Sony Music Nashville (in association with The Penthouse) artist Willie Jones is taking his Louisiana-bred version of country soul on the road for select shows in support of Music City’s anticipated professional baseball team, The Nashville Stars

Jones’ Barnstorming Tour is set to kick off on Thursday, September 9 in Boca Raton, FL, hitting a slew of baseball’s biggest fandoms along the way - including a St. Louis Cardinals post-game performance on Sunday, September 19th - before wrapping with a hometown show at Nashville’s famed Whiskey Jam outdoor concert series on Monday, September 27.

Fans already got a small taste of what to expect from the Cajun country riser’s upcoming tour when he showed off his rowdy, deep-south roots in a “rousing” (Rolling Stone) performance of his “summer-ready country-trap heater” (CMT), “Down By The Riverside” on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! back in June, but that was just the beginning. With brand-new music set to roll out in the coming months, the Louisiana native plans to debut several never-before-heard tunes on-stage during this upcoming trek.

On Sunday, September 5, Jones performed the National Anthem prior to the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team taking on Canada in their home opener of third-round qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Willie Jones Tour Dates:

Thurs., Sept. 9 | Florida Atlantic University (University Theatre) | Boca Raton, FL

Fri., Sept. 17 | PBR Bar | Kansas City, MO

Sat., Sept. 18 | Kansas State Fairgrounds | Hutchinson, KS

Tues., Sept. 21 |  2nd Street Stage | Cincinnati, OH

This has been a breakout year for Jones, who joined CMT Hot 20 earlier this month as one of the first featured artists on their brand-new CMT Hot Prospects concert series, where he performed for a stadium full of fans at the Atlanta Braves game on August 7 and spilled all the details on his “Southern, countrified 2021 party track” (The Recording Academy), “Down By The Riverside,” with CMT.
