November 14, 2024 – Excurio, the growing international creator of unique immersive Expeditions, has forged a new path by making art, history, and culture accessible in both entertaining and educational ways. A pioneer in cultural entertainment, Excurio blends cutting-edge VR tech with immersive storytelling and digital design to transport audiences to historical sites and periods. Productions include:

• Horizon of Khufu – This immersive journey transports visitors to ancient Egypt, exploring the mysteries of the Great Pyramid and the world of Pharaoh Khufu through a virtual expedition that blends history with archaeological insights.

• Tonight with the Impressionists, Paris 1874 – Launched to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first Impressionist exhibition, visitors step into the heart of Paris’s art scene in 1874 and encounter the Impressionist painters' world, experiencing the era's culture, colors, and avant-garde spirit.

• Life Chronicles – A profoundly moving expedition that dives into the evolution of life on Earth, showcasing more than 200 plant and animal species and recreated in collaboration with 30+ paleontologists, paleobotanists, evolution specialists, and bioacousticians.

• Eternal Notre-Dame - Produced for France’s largest telecommunications company, Orange, this experience provides a virtual tour of Notre-Dame Cathedral, guiding viewers through its architectural marvels and historical significance, including exploring the 2019 restoration efforts following the devastating fire.

The productions include a groundbreaking narrative system that provides visitors with a new way to explore art history and the cultural environment, dazzling attendees with ‘free-roaming’ experiences — popular with audiences who are less likely to engage with traditional museum exhibitions. Previously, Excurio has partnered with Paris' Louvre Museum, Musée d'Orsay, the French National Museum of Natural History & more.

The company’s groundbreaking technological innovation allows over 100 simultaneous participants in more than 10,000 sqft of space to navigate expansive environments. Committed to making immersive content more accessible, Immersive Expeditions are designed to be enjoyed by all age groups, with accommodations for those with reduced mobility.

The Paris-based company, co-founded in 2020 by CEO Fabien Barati and President Emmanuel Guerriero, welcomed new audiences this year and is celebrating massive growth. See below for highlights:
