Alternative R&B artist Yuna debuts the music video for latest single “Make A Move,” a shimmering, out-of-this-world performance that KCRW calls “smooth and sexy.” The video finds the international singer-songwriter immersed in deeply saturated hues of blue, pink and white amongst intricate settings of florals and stars. Directed by her husband Adam Sinclair, the luminous video pairs well with Yuna’s rich, silky vocals and laid-back energy. “Make A Move” is the latest single from Y2, which is the most recent installment of Y5, Yuna’s full-length album due out in the fall that is being released as a series of five projects over the course of the year. Y1 and Y2 are out now.
Yuna says of the new single, “‘Make A Move’ is about meeting someone for the first time and you find yourself constantly thinking about them. You know that even if this person knows your name, it’s not enough to spark something real, you have to make the first move to talk to them and do something before it’s too late or before the situation becomes a ‘could-have-been’.”
Yuna was recently featured on The Recording Academy's "Positive Vibes Only" for an intimate at-home performance of her single "Pantone 17 13 30" (watch here) and she also surprised audiences at Coachella earlier this spring for a guest performance with Tokimonsta.
