Zac Brown Band Adds Sturgill Simpson to 'Great American Road Trip' Tour Dates this Summer

Zac Brown Band's 'Great American Road Trip' tour will welcome Sturgill Simpson as support on select East Coast dates this summer.  Described as "ass-kicking Southern rock… ornery, smart, and soulful" (Garden & Gun), Simpson's brand of authentic songwriting is a perfect compliment to the three-time GRAMMY winners Zac Brown Band, who've been crowned "one of the best Southern-rock bands ever… for folks who value musicianship as much as musical craft" (USA Today).  

The band's dedication to bringing the best in music to each show is clear. In just three weeks, the tour has welcomed support from GRAMMY Award winning artist Kacey Musgraves and a weekend of guest appearances by three-time GRAMMY winner and visionary roots-music storyteller Keb’ Mo'. Additionally, the band introduced a new member Matt Mangano on bass and debuted a new stage and light show that matches their top-notch musicianship.

Zac Brown Band's 'Great American Road Trip' is the band's first tour following the release of 'The Grohl Sessions, Vol. 1' (Southern Ground), a CD/DVD that features several new songs in addition to a 45-minute film that trails the band during a marathon week-long recording session with Dave Grohl.
