ABOUT CAT'S IN THE CRADLE: THE SONG THAT CHANGED OUR LIVES
Cat’s in the Cradle: The Song That Changed Our Lives tells the story of one of the most emotionally resonant songs in American popular music and the complex, charismatic artist behind it—Harry Chapin. Released in 1974, “Cat’s In the Cradle” became an unexpected chart-topper, cutting through a disco-dominated era with a haunting folk ballad about fatherhood, regret, and the passage of time. Fifty years later, the song’s impact is undiminished echoed in heartfelt YouTube reaction videos, global covers, and the voices of new generations confronting the same emotional questions the song posed decades ago.
