DragonForce are a genre-defining force in power metal. RIAA platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated, and globally celebrated as the world's fastest band. Founded in London in 1999 by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, the band has spent over two decades rewriting the rules of heavy metal with their signature sound, impossibly fast guitar solos, soaring anthemic choruses, and a live show that is as exhilarating as it is technically breathtaking.

Now entering a new era, DragonForce have joined forces with internationally acclaimed vocalist Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy, Blue Medusa), who will feature on their forthcoming 10th studio album and upcoming tour dates. Her addition marks a bold new chapter for the band, expanding their sonic range while building on the technical precision and intensity that define the DragonForce sound.

Their breakout moment came with the 2006 album Inhuman Rampage (Roadrunner/Warner), whose lead single “Through the Fire and Flames” became a global phenomenon, RIAA platinum-certified, streamed over 320 million times on Spotify, viewed over 150 million times on YouTube, and immortalized as the notoriously unbeatable final track on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The game went on to sell millions of copies and generate over $1 billion in revenue, introducing DragonForce to a generation of fans far beyond the world of metal. Inhuman Rampage itself was certified Gold by the RIAA and charted for 23 weeks on the Billboard 200.

With nine studio albums under their belt, from Valley of the Damned (2003) through the critically acclaimed Warp Speed Warriors (Napalm Records, 2024), DragonForce have never stopped evolving. Their 2024 album earned rave reviews worldwide and launched the band into one of the most high-profile years of their career. The album's accompanying touring cycle included a co-headline European run with Amaranthe, a U.S. tour alongside Dethklok, and a headline slot on the main stage of Wacken Open Air in front of 110,000 fans.

Beyond the stage, DragonForce have become a cultural crossover phenomenon. In 2024, “Through the Fire and Flames” was featured prominently in both the trailer and film for Despicable Me 4, with the trailer airing during the NFL playoffs. The band also collaborated with Supercell on Brawl Stars for the single “A Draco Tale,” whose video trended #2 on YouTube and amassed over 26 million views, alongside a live debut at the SuperFest World Championship streamed to over one million viewers. That same year, Li was honored with the “God of Riffs” award at the Metal Hammer Awards.

In 2025, the band partnered with Epic Games for an exclusive Fortnite Festival integration of “Through the Fire and Flames,” further cementing their remarkable dual legacy in music and gaming culture. Herman Li also unveiled his signature PRS Chleo guitar, later named Best Electric Guitar of 2026 by Rolling Stone, alongside a signature pickup collaboration with Fishman.

In 2026, DragonForce continue their global momentum with festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple festivals, a major tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Inhuman Rampage, and new collaborations including an in-game partnership with Asphalt Legends. At the same time, the band are in the studio working on their highly anticipated next album, ushering in a new era with Alissa White-Gluz at the forefront.

Having headlined arenas and festivals worldwide alongside icons like Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Slipknot, and Metallica, DragonForce have built a reputation for a live show that is equal parts precision, spectacle, and pure adrenaline. As they celebrate two decades of Inhuman Rampage, one thing remains clear, the fastest band in the world isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
